The Aka Pygmies sing a complicated polyphonic song which they learn at a very young age. During group celebrations we can't dissociate their singing from their dancing. They also play a certain number of musical instruments, either belonging to them or which they've integrated whilst in contact with the villagers, also known as the 'Grand Noirs'.

The polyphonic songs on this disc were recorded during a celebration. This is a beautiful and clear recording of their music. Imported and hard to find!
