Early recording of Igbin, Dundun and Bata drums in Nigeria, released by Folkways in 1953. Much of this CD was recorded in actual rituals.  For instance, the first 3 tracks were recorded during the annual festival of Orishanla in his principle temple at the house of Chief Ashipa of Oyo.

Re-released by Folkways in small 'to-order' quantities, these CDs do not have cover art but do include copies of orginal notes.  These are very rare CDs and are not sold in stores.  We special order these from folkways and have them in stock for instant shipment!
